As it turns out, absolutely not. Read some stuff about wool socks. Already knew Finisterre and a few years ago, decided to give these a go, based on all the 5* reviews? They have been a revelation. Wearing today in 32° and wear them all through the winter too. Never sweaty, never smelly either, even after wearing for quite a lot longer than seems respectable. Just comfortable… always. I hope Finisterre continue to sell them forever :-)
